We Offer Two Types of Courses

Integrated

Based on the award-winning Tapestry of Grace homeschool curriculum, Lucerna Academy provides a classical Christian education using the history of the world as the core organizational theme. Rather than studying subjects independently, students study the literature, geography, church history, philosophy, and fine arts of a people as they also study the history of that people, achieving a deeper understanding of the culture. This not only encourages rich connections between the subjects, but it also equips students to face the challenges ahead with wisdom from the past.

Traditional

While we are passionate about the integrated model of education, we realize that model isn't a good fit for every family. Perhaps you plan to use dual enrollment for your high schooler's last year and don't want to study history all four years. Maybe you are new to homeschooling and need to pick up where your student left off at public school. We also offer stand-alone courses based on the Tapestry of Grace curriculum that allow your students to receive a deep understanding of the material from a biblical worldview without the parallel studies requirements of our integrated courses.
